After 30 Songs & 5 Years, Still Not Known

Independent artists all over try to find ways to get noticed! These independent artists are searching for the opportunity to have worldwide listeners. Many of the big shots in the music industry already have it set in their minds as to, "what they think" they want. This isn't bad for the independent artist who, just wants to make it in the local neighborhood circuit! Many Indie artists have asked me, "What can I do to get people to notice me?"

First, you will have to leave your comfort zone! There are several ways to stand out as an independent artist. Artist Development is essential for you to develop your skills. Get a radio station to play your demo, of course, you have to get them to actually listen to it first! Don't expect to send a demo, turn on the radio, and "poof" there's your song! You'll have to call them night and day. Before long, you should hear your demo, that is if you don't receive a restraining order first! (Keep grinding no matter what)

Another way to stand out as an independent artist is to find an agent; not just any agent looking to add you to their portfolio! The right agent knows people, and as the saying goes, "It's not who you are, It's who you know!"

Start a fan club; Put your demo online, then spam every person you know, and the people they know, they'll either block you, or give in and listen. lol
You'll have a whole fan base before you know it!

Post your lavish thoughts or suggestions.
